2009

Dyung Le, who is in charge of the design of American ERA system in NARA, attanded the International Conference on Electronic Records Management held in the School of Information Resource Management, and gave a lecture on "Framework and Software Architecture of the ERA program" for students and teachers at SIRM.

2008

Jiang Dexuan, associate professor, dean of School of Literature and Information in Pusan University visited SIRM, Professor Song Jishu, Professor Li Jihuan and other six visitors visited SIRM.

Eva-Marie Skogsberg and Hakan Lovblad, international experts of Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency (SIDA), came to Beijing to evaluate work progress of Chinese group. 

2007

Professor Yong-Jae Lee and doctoral student Wei Chengguang from Department of Library, Archive & Information Studies in Pusan National University visited SIRM, signed a cooperation communication agreement and discussed the cooperation issues between the two schools.

Professor Yong-Jae Lee from Department of Library, Archive & Information Studies in Pusan National University who visited SIRM to sign the cooperation communication agreement with SIRM, and attended an opening ceremony of the Korean class held in the conference room 301 of the information building at SIRM. 

2006

Michael Cohen, Professor of School of Information, University of Michigan visited SIRM and made a presentation on"Social Systems & Collections".

Hans Hofman, co-director of ERPANET and senior advisor at the Nationaal Archief (National Archives) of the Netherlands, gave a presentation on "International standards for electronic records, archives and information management and their applications" for a seminar held in SIRM.

Illinois Bill Enright, professor in charge of Summer Internship Project Institute of Technology (IIT), gave a return visit to RUC to give students of SIRM certifications of IIT Summer Internship Project. 

2005

Olivia Frost, Acting Dean of School of Information of Michigan University in USA visited SIRM and gave a presentation on "Education for Information Professionals at the University of Michigan".

Dr Peter Blum, Archivist of Heidelberg Municipal Archives visited SIRM and gave a presentation on "Archives And Comics——Not Only 4 Kids".

Williams York, Associate Archivist of The Bentley Historical Library at the University of Michigan and other 5 people visited SIRM and shared academic viewpoints.

Jonathan K. Ocko, Professor and Head Department of History North Carolina State University visited SIRM and had a academic discussion with teachers and students.

Alex Carre, Former Vice-president of Canadian Olympic Organizing Committee, Professor of Olympic Sports of UBC visited SIRM and had a discussion with students.

Andy Dawson, expert of information technology at School of Library, Information and Archives in UCL,gave a presentation on "History, Present and Future of Information Retrieval" for students of SIRM. 

2004

SIRM Hold international communication activity "With Teachers from Famous University in USA — Face to Face Free Talk". Invited Dr Margaret Hedstrom from School of Information in Michigan University of USA, Dr Anne Gilliland-Swetland from School of Information in Los Angeles Branch of California University to give lecture on "How to Cultivate Research Ability and the Standards on Enrolling Good Students in American University".

Mr Michael Steemson, one of the members who participated in the development of ISO 15489 on behalf of New Zeland, visited RUC and gave a presentation on "E-government: Challenges on Records and Archives Management".

Professor Richard H. Nader and other 4 delegation members from Texas A&M University visited RUC and made a speech on "China Archives". 

2003

Professor Tony Watson, Dean of School of Computer and Information in Edith Cowan University in Australia gave a presentation on "Appearance of the Effect of Information Security in Western Society".

Mr Kennedy, Associate President of Michigan University in USA and Mr James Lee (son of Zhengdao Lee), Director of China Research Centre visited RUC. Associate Professor Wang Jian, Dear Assistant of SIRM accompanied their visit and had discussed possibilities of cooperations between universities.

Professor Earl Lewis, Dean of Graduate School of Michigan University in USA, with other 3 persons visited RUC. Associate Professor Wang Jian, Dean Assistant of SIRM, accompanied with Associate Dean of Graduate School, and director of Archives of RUC attended the receptions.  

2002

Ms Jenny Yang, Archivist of Federal Storage Bureau Archives visited SIRM and gave a presentation on "Records Management of the Federal Website".

Delegation of Graduate School of Michigan University in USA visited RUC. The delegation members include Professor Earl Lewis-Dean of Graduate School and Associate Chief of Education Administration Section in charge of academic, Associate Professor Paula Lantz from Public Health School, Professor Liu Jinyun from Humanity Research School, Professor Christopher Pierre-Deputy Dean of Graduate School, Professor Pamela Reid-Chief of Women Problem Research Centre and Dr John B. Godfrey-Assistant Dean of Graduate School. The two sides discussed the cooperation between School of Information in Michigan University and SIRM.

Mr Chen Zhijun, part-time professor of SIRM visited and gave lecture on "Principles, Experiences and Law Responsibility on Construction of Government Information System of New work State".

Mr Jim Cross, who is in charge of international communication in Edith Cowan University in Australia, visited the SIRM and gave a lecture on "Study in Australia".

Mr Peter Hirtle, president of Society of American archivist visited the SIRM and gave lecture on "Morden Archives Management in America"
Professor Liu Jinyun from the Sociology School of Michigan University in USA visited the SIRM and gave a lecture on "Application of Survey Methods in Social Science".

2001

The First PhD Forum on Archives was held in RUC from 17th to 18th April, 2001. Supported by ICA/SAE and organized by Archives College of RUC. The participation of many famous scholars made this forum the highest level of international forum on archives in the history of AC. The famous foreign guests included Dr Luciana Duranti, chair of the InterPARES; Dr. Michael Cook, who is highly respected in archival academe research area; David Bearman, expert on electronic records,etc. 

Chong Chun Yoko-Archivist of Okinawa Archives of Japan and Ms Tayon visited the AC.

Kim Sung Soo-Secretary-general of Korea Document Management and 3 other persons visited the RUC.

Mr Biguanbi-Archivist of National Archives of Singapore, Ms Liu Yimei- Archivist of Archives of Macao visited the AC.

Eun Park, PhD candidates of Colombia University in Canada, member of InterPARES gave a lecture on "Preservation of Authentic Electronic Records". 

2000

Professor Francis•Bruce and other 5 people from Archives of Michigan University visited the AC and gave a lecture on "Modern Archives Management in USA".

Kim Sung Soo-Secretary-general of Korea Document Management and 3 other persons visited the AC.

Professor Ann Prentice, Dean of Library and Information School in Maryland University of America visited AC and discussed further cooperation between the two schools. 

1999

Professor Tagawa Ichiro, President of Secretary Research Association visited the AC and discussed the cooperating project "Comparative Research on Record Management in Japan and China".

Professor Li Chanhao, Committee member of Library and Information Academic Section of Korea Education Ministry, Seoul University, visited the AC.

Mr Masahito ANDO, Professor of Historical Materials Association of Wenbu Province in Japan visited the AC.

Mr Edwin, Director of History and Archives Department of Alabama State in USA visited the AC and had an informal discussion, discussing on the Construction of Archival Law.

Ms Nancy from Archives of Michigan University in USA visited the AC.
